FG gets business compliance certificate for national carrier
The proposed national airline would be unveiled before the end of this year, the Federal Government announced on Sunday. It also stated that it had received the Outline Business Case Certificate of Compliance for the airline, adding that the project was progressing adequately.
The Minister of State for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, disclosed this at the headquarters of the aviation ministry in Abuja while receiving the certificate of compliance from the Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, Chidi Izuwah. Sirika said the presentation of the certificate to the government was an official approval of the process through which the project had gone so far.
He said there was no doubt that the issue of national carrier for Nigeria was very close to the hearts of both the government and the people, adding that this was why the government had taken the Public-Private Partnership option with the belief that it was the only way to deliver an airline that would stand the test of time.
